I sorta like this one, but I have a complaint (listed below). I realize that virtually everyone will fall into this category, and that someone else will think my suggestion is stupid. That's fine, because I think THEIR suggestion is stupid.

Great point. But if I'm not mistaken PL could change the colors on the links as well. One color if the user has never hit that link and a different color if he has already clicked it. I could be mistaken about this but I believe these options are usually available.

I might just stick with the black. Now that I've changed the color of the quote boxes, the black might work best. The big challenge is that all the other stuff is set up to work with black -- so if I deviate too far from that, the text for a lot of things gets too hard to read.

Always liked the look of Pretzel Logic and this reminds me of it. kat

Purple background color needs to be lighter (softer looking) or maybe just make the written post darker (like almost black) to give it more of a contrast. For example see the "Option House " advertising on the bottom of this page.

btw, I also managed to get the "donate" button to only show after the first post, instead of after every single one...

Is it too purple? Should I change it? I'm not sold on the background color. I'll play with it.

is their a washed out purple w/ a greyish hue? think that might do it... what do I know.. my wife dresses me

Mauve seriously?
too bright eyestrain

Muave... is that what tequila is made from?? if not, i'm lost. but think black looks better than Purple contrast against blue

That deep deep smooth black was just killing my eyes. I hope we don't go 'there' again. Just for health of my eyes reasons.

Yeah, I like the slightly lighter grey here to make it a bit less high-contrast.

Gotcha. That's the same reason I have never changed my charts from black to anything else. Black has become almost a signature for my charts now so I kinda have to stick with it or people think I stole it from somebody else.

Is this a little better, with the grey background for posts?

Black background as shown is the way to go and it also follows nicely the background color of your daily market analysis. Classic Pretz looking.
